Lily Mei Appointed President and CEO of Newark Chamber of Commerce

Former Fremont Mayor Lily Mei has taken on a new leadership post as president and chief executive officer of the Newark Chamber of Commerce. Mei previously served on the Fremont City Council starting in 2014 and completed two terms as mayor from 2016 through 2024.

According to the Chamber, Mei aims to work closely with neighboring cities across the Tri-City area to support regional economic growth. Earlier this year, Mei helped organize the inaugural Newark Asian Heritage Festival held at NewPark Mall, reflecting her ongoing engagement with the local community.
