Independent Grocery Store Closes at Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road
Rangoon Market has shut down operations in Citrus Heights after serving local customers for three years.

An independent neighborhood grocery shop located near Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road has permanently ceased operations. Rangoon Market cleared out its retail space, leaving behind empty refrigeration coolers and darkened windows.
The small market opened in March 2023, offering a mix of Asian and American specialty groceries, produce, and packaged goods before adding beer and wine sales last year. Neighborhood customers had given the independent grocery favorable marks for its unique food selections.
The closure leaves another vacancy in the commercial center, which is anchored by a SAFE Credit Union branch. The departure comes approximately one year after a neighboring family-owned thrift shop also shut its doors in the same shopping complex.
