Hayward Public Library Resumes In-Person Storytime Sessions Under New Schedule

Hayward Public Library has restarted weekly children's storytime gatherings with standardized morning start times across programs.

Hayward Public Library has resumed its full roster of weekly children's storytimes for the season, introducing a coordinated schedule designed to make attending simpler for local families. All regular morning sessions will now start at 10:30 a.m. on their designated weekdays and weekends.

The refreshed programming includes specialized tracks for various age brackets, ranging from Music and Movement activities for infants and toddlers to bilingual Spanish and English sessions and Chinese language readings. Preschool storytime groups also feature an extra 15 minutes of hands-on arts, coloring, and interactive learning following each book reading.

Library staff noted that while all sessions remain free, space remains limited in the youth activity rooms. Free admission passes are distributed at the children's service desk starting 30 minutes prior to each scheduled program on a first-come, first-served basis.
