Hayward Mariachi Festival Set to Celebrate Regional Mexican Culture at Southland Mall

The Hayward Chamber of Commerce announced that the Hayward Mariachi Festival will return on Saturday, September 26, bringing an afternoon of music and regional cultural traditions to Southland Mall. The community gathering runs from noon to 6 p.m. and is open to the public free of charge.

Performances throughout the afternoon will highlight mariachi ensembles dressed in traditional charro attire, along with ballet folklorico presentations and live lucha libre matches. Visitors will also find an open-air market showcasing neighborhood artisans alongside food vendors serving authentic Mexican dishes, taco tastings, and salsa contests.

Organizers expect attendees from across Alameda County and the broader East Bay to gather for the festivities. Local crafters and merchants interested in participating can still register for remaining booth spaces through the Hayward Chamber of Commerce.
