Fremont Prepares for 34th Annual Festival of India and Grand Parade
The Festival of Globe returns to Fremont this weekend with cultural performances, regional cuisine, and a grand parade.

Fremont will host the 34th annual Festival of India Mela and Parade this weekend along Paseo Padre Parkway. Organized by the Festival of Globe, the two-day gathering is scheduled for August 15 and 16, drawing thousands of community members from across the Bay Area.
The celebration features more than 100 parade entries, traditional music and dance showcases, cultural exhibits, and more than 250 local artisan and vendor booths. A community health and wellness fair will also run alongside the festivities.
The centerpiece parade will proceed down Paseo Padre Parkway, celebrating Indian cultural heritage alongside diverse community participation. City officials highlighted the festival as a longtime local tradition showcasing Fremont's multicultural community.
