Forest Home Farms Hosts Not-So-Spooky Critter Crawl for Families
Young learners can explore local nocturnal wildlife and autumn ecology through hands-on activities at Forest Home Farms.
Families looking for outdoor autumn activities can head to Forest Home Farms Historic Park for the Not-So-Spooky Critter Crawl. The weekend event offers an interactive educational afternoon designed specifically for children and their parents to explore nature in a low-key setting.
Participants will move from station to station across the historic property to learn about creatures that are often misunderstood, including bats, spiders, and native woodland mammals. Each stop features sensory crafts, educational games, and nature-themed activities run by park educators.
The program runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the historic homestead on San Ramon Valley Boulevard. Admission costs $8 for local residents and $10 for non-residents, with pre-registration encouraged through the community recreation catalog.
