Doors Open California Showcases Tri-City Historic Landmarks This September
Landmark sites across the Tri-City area will open for guided tours and public visits during the statewide Doors Open celebration.

Residents across the Tri-City area will have the chance to explore local architectural and cultural landmarks during the Doors Open California festival on September 12 and 13. The annual statewide initiative provides community members with guided tours and behind-the-scenes access to historic structures, gardens, and museums throughout the region.
The local tour weekend begins Saturday, September 12, in Niles with scheduled stops at Shinn Historical Park and Arboretum, the California Nursery Historical Park, the Niles Film Museum, and walking routes through town. On Sunday, September 13, events continue in Mission San Jose with open access to the Washington Township Museum of Local History, Old Mission San Jose Museum, the Gardens at Palmdale, and the Olive Hyde Art Gallery grounds.
Tour passes are available through the California Preservation Foundation, though visitors are also welcome to visit several of the municipal and park sites independently during normal open hours.
