Deadly Apartment Fire on Irvington Avenue Under Investigation
Fremont fire investigators and police are looking into a fatal apartment fire that appears to have started while cooking.

Fremont fire crews responded Wednesday morning to an apartment complex located at 4200 Irvington Avenue after receiving reports of a residential fire. Firefighters arrived shortly after 9:20 a.m. and worked quickly to bring the flames under control.
One adult occupant suffered critical injuries in the blaze and was transported to Washington Hospital, where they later died. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim.
Preliminary findings indicate that the fire was cooking-related. The Fremont Fire Department is currently collaborating with local police detectives to determine the official cause of the incident.
