Burglars Use Fake Delivery Disguise in North Milpitas Break-In
A burglary crew used an accomplice posing as a package courier to scout an empty home before breaking in and stealing a safe.

A residential burglary crew targeted a home on a quiet cul-de-sac in north Milpitas, using a delivery driver disguise to confirm that nobody was home before forcing entry.
Surveillance video captured a person wearing a delivery vest and carrying an open package up to the front porch. When repeated knocking went unanswered, the individual sent a text message and walked down the street. Shortly afterward, accomplices wearing masks and hats entered through a rear gate and broke a sliding glass door.
Once inside, the intruders disconnected the home internet modem to disable the alarm system and cameras. They then removed a heavy safe containing family heirlooms, watches, and custom jewelry valued at more than $70,000 before fleeing the scene. Milpitas police are actively investigating the incident.
