Autel Energy Opens EV Experience Center Near Newark Border
Autel Energy has opened an 18,000-square-foot facility in South Fremont to test and demonstrate electric vehicle charging hardware.

Autel Energy has officially launched a new North American Experience Center in South Fremont, creating an interactive test and demonstration facility for electric vehicle infrastructure. The 18,000-square-foot facility gives equipment operators, commercial fleet managers, and technicians a dedicated place to test hardware, receive hands-on training, and view live charging demonstrations.
Company leaders chose the South Fremont site near Interstate 880 due to the high concentration of clean-tech companies and skilled manufacturing labor in the Tri-City area. Neighboring automakers, including Newark-based Lucid Motors, attended the grand opening and brought vehicles out to test the charging equipment alongside local engineers and clean energy advocates.
The new center houses both commercial DC fast chargers and residential AC chargers, alongside a regional parts distribution center. City officials noted that adding the research and service center strengthens the local manufacturing corridor as more businesses and public transit fleets transition toward electric power.
