Affordable Housing Development Breaks Ground on California Circle
Construction has begun on a 75-unit affordable housing community on California Circle to serve low- and middle-income families.
Waterford Property Company has broken ground on a new 75-unit residential complex located at 1397 California Circle in Milpitas. The project is designed to provide affordable rental housing for families earning between 30% and 70% of the Santa Clara County Area Median Income.
The five-story building will feature four residential floors situated above ground-level parking. Amenities planned for the site include two outdoor courtyards, play areas, a fitness and yoga room, and shared community gathering spaces. Onsite supportive services, including youth tutoring and financial literacy workshops, will be provided through a partnership with Pacific Housing.
Financed through low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bonds, the project forms part of a wider neighborhood redevelopment near Interstate 880. Construction is expected to finish in early 2028.
