Picture is worth a 1000 words here. The packaged foods, bakery and produce are fine but hot dining options are horrible and poorly served. On a day where I want a premade lunch and I go to get fried chicken or rice bowl, the 3 attendants suddenly vanish into the kitchen to see which of us waits out the other first. This pizza was actually inedible. It was a solid molten brick that peeled the paper package. I forced myself to take a bite but it went back into the container and straight into the trash. Unacceptable.

I've been coming to this Safeway since I was a boy and it's usually been pleasant. But a couple months ago I had a cashier look at my ID for an unusually long time when I was buying beer after work. Then, since he couldn't look past the beard I had in the picture he began questioning me about my address, how long I've been here and where I was from. Then he asked me where I would be deported to if ICE came after me. He finally rang up my beer and I paid for it. Very upset and violated I came back in with my wife to customer service to file a complaint against the cashier - who probably has done this to other people - with the managers, Anastasia and Dustin. I filed a detailed complaint with Frank and asked him to follow-up with me. He did not and so I'm writing this review as I told him I would do if he didn't tell me he received the complaint about his staff. The whole experience was very off putting and since I never actually talked to the supervisor I'm not even sure he received my grievance.

🤢 Lady at the deli DIDN'T change her gloves and wash her hands after throwing trash away and was going to serve me hot food. Enjoy at your own risk.

One of two grocery stores on the island. Safeway has everything you need; bakery, deli, flower shop and a great wine section.

FRUSTRATION! unable to READ the discount prices right next to the product saying that one must purchase multiples. My corrected eyesight is fine. Safeway's labeling is NOT! Returned 4 products today!
