We initially went to Jack’s BBQ in Federal Way because my husband has been wanting a good peach cobbler, the cashier told us once we got there that Jacks in Algona would have it. We were on a mission! Once entering Jacks it was busy but the service as soon as we entered was phenomenal. From the cashier to our server Trinity! Trinity was exceptional provided excellent customer service, no hesitation nor push back on any of our questions since it was our first time we were unsure what to expect and had lots of questions. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a good server who truly enjoys the interaction with customers and her job. The food came in such a timely fashion both my husband and I were like oh wow! Excellent experience. In the times we’re living in being Hispanic it does make us feel a bit vulnerable because you never know how things will be and we felt safe attended and welcomed. I can see now why my sister in law loves this place! Oh and the sweet iced tea AMAZING! taste very delicious and it doesn’t have a synthetic sweet taste to it. 10/10 oh btw it was so good we had to come back today on Sunday for more 😆

It took a little time to be seated since no one was at the counter. However, our server—a wonderful young woman whose name I unfortunately forgot—completely made up for it. She greeted us with a bright smile and was incredibly professional, patient, and efficient. She explained everything so well and showed true passion for her job and the restaurant! My husband and I both ordered The Texas Trinity (brisket, ribs, and two types of sausage). For sides, he got the corn and mashed potatoes, while I chose collard greens and chili. Everything was wonderfully presented. The only downside was that the chili wasn't warm and wasn't quite to my taste, but overall, we had a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back! Plus, their pecan pie was so good, it's a must-try!

Had the virgin smoky sweet tea, the brisket plate (Austin style sliced), hush puppies, the fried chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese, potato salad, and garlic mashed potatoes. Honestly everything was great. The brisket was tender and flavorful with or without their house sauce. We got white bread and pickles for fixings and it was exactly the right amount, with leftover pickles to share. The chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy. It had their house pickles and they just set it off. The hush puppies were wonderful, jalapeno cornbread served with sweet butter and tartar sauce. The sides were universally excellent. The potato salad was fantastic, the Mac and cheese was so good we got two portions, and the garlicky mashed potatoes were house made and great. Our server Adrian was friendly and professional, even though we got there within an hour of closing. He explained menu items and helped us choose because it was our first time. Overall highly recommended local gem.

Off the highway, frontage road eatery stating central Texas BBQ, and it did not disappoint. Growing up in Texas, that style is my jam, this is on par with some of Texas's best. Brisket is tender, perfectly done, bark is salt and pepper. Tried the potato salad, a little too mustard for me, but good. The baked beans are the best I've had, ranch style with brisket. You have to try the sweet corn pudding, amazing. The brisket Dallas style is chopped with smoky jalapeño sauce, excellent. The banana passing is great as well, I need to come back and try the peach cobbler. Definately worth the trip.

Great pull pork sandwich especially the fries are yummmm !! Although it is on the pricy side but worth the trip. The sweet tea is delicious! Seating are simple and clean, friendly and attentive waitress. The special BBQ sauce adds extra flavor on both sandwiches and fries. Because of the price I don't highly recommend but I do recommend this place for special gatherings.
