Brought my 11-year-old and 6-year-old daughters to Harbor Kids Dental, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Finding a dental office that can seamlessly accommodate such different age groups isn't always easy, but the entire team made both of my girls feel completely comfortable and at ease. They were so patient, gentle, and engaging, taking the time to make sure my oldest and my youngest were both relaxed throughout their visits. It is such a welcoming, kid-friendly practice, and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely be back!

I called to make an appointment for my kid. I received an email stating he was due for a checkup and he was complaining about a tooth that had previously had a root canal done and he wanted it pulled. I called and said specifically that he needed a cleaning and an extraction. We waited 2 weeks for the appointment. When we arrived, I asked what the appointment was scheduled for and was told it was only for a cleaning. I told the woman what I called to schedule for and she said she needed to check with someone else. Another woman came out and told me the appointment was scheduled only for a cleaning and based on the info she saw, it was herself that took my call. Additionally she told me that my kid was not due for a cleaning until October. I was irate! I took the day off work and drove 25 minutes to get to the appointment and my kid is in pain every day. She placated me by telling me he could see the dentist to have a 2nd tooth looked at and then we could schedule for whatever needed to be done. The dentist was not nice to my kid when she told him to floss. She said that we would need to schedule 2 appointments - one to redo a filling and one for the extraction. I was confused as to why they couldn't do both things at once and then the assistant told me they could. When the assistant took me to the front to schedule, she told me that there are only 2 dentists that will extract hus tooth. One of them would be in NEXT MONTH, but she doesn't know if that dentist has a schedule for anesthesia involved extractions and someone would have to call me. What a huge waste of time and no empathy shown or accountability taken in admitting they made a mistake. I am currently looking for a new dentist for my kid.

My kid had a great experience, he is only 6 so the dentist can be a little scary. They are kind and they let my kiddo know what they were doing every step of the process. That helped him a lot. Thanks Harbor Kids for treating my kiddo with kindness!!

First time here after being somewhere else for a few years. We had a change of insurance and they got my child in quickly for the first appointment. The wait time to get called back and see the dentist was a little longer than we are used to but the care was great and the dentist was so kind and they helped make my little very comfortable. Overall a good first experience here.

I have to give a 3 star rating. Have been going there since my grands were babies, now 17 and 18 years old. Used to be a great place to take your kids but over the last 5 years or so it’s just not the same. Used to be a happy place. This past week my 18 year old went in for cleaning and X-rays. Dental assistant who cleaned his teeth had complained about being short staffed.Over booking clients. Didn’t seem to take the quality time to clean them as they normally do. She seemed tired and a bit annoyed saying she still had 3 more kids to see and it was almost 4 PM. Dentist came in. Said they would keep an eye on the pinpoint cavities in between his teeth since they are too small at the moment.( they’re only going to get bigger) I would think get them while they’re small. needs to have wisdom teeth removed and gave me the referral with phone numbers to call to find an oral surgeon on the list for removing them. All oral surgeons are up north. Closest one in Federal Way. There are surgeons in Olympia and Lacey. You’re pretty much on your own. I’m wondering if the other Harbor Kids in Tumwater or Olympia are have the same troubles. Hope they figure out what they’re problems are and try to fix it.
