I recently moved here 6 months ago and finding a place to workout was my first priority. Any gym can have the equipment needed, but they don’t all have the right culture. Happy to say I found exactly what I was looking for here! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Natalie, Harrison, and Dustin are just a few of the all stars. I’ve even dropped in on some of the classes which were great! Instructors do a good job keeping it engaging and fun! The combination of the smoothie bar and the InBody Scans helped me reach a fitness goal I’ve been after for 15 years! Definitely glad to say I found my gym!

I have been attending the racket club for about 2 years now. I have been here ALOT! I lost 120 lbs in 14 months. Even though I did the work, the gym has been the environment I needed to succeed. After spending thousands of hours at the gym, observing, staying in my head, and grinding I have made a real list of pros and cons in my completely honest opinion. Pros: The staff are super friendly. Some of them are new and younger but they are trained well and always are happy when I come in. There is plenty of space to work out and staff are accommodating when needing to work out wheather that’s moving weights around or needing larger space for cardio. The gym is super clean. The locker rooms get crazy on busy days but that is not fault of the gym and they do a great job keeping it nice. They have a great spa and saunas. Even when it’s crowded guest do a great job getting close and making room for people. The ranch I cortex pools are great! Well worth the money if you have a family and want to swim. I take my family there often and it’s super nice and welcoming. The group exercise room is a must! I do a lot of cardio and the space is perfect. Who ever is in charge of the website schedule is amazing! It’s always accurate. If you need to know when the group room is taken or the cycling room just go to the schedule. I guarantee it’s accurate. The day care is great! They do an amazing job. My kiddo cries for a min when I leave but staff do an amazing job distracting them and keeping them happy. Cons: It’s expansive. Many people look for cheap gyms because they don’t value their health and excersize. $80 is 100% worth being in one of the best shapes of my life but it’s a con to many. Mon-Thursday evenings get busy. If your grinding and go in don’t care about others and get out it’s not a big deal but to people that don’t work out or are new it gets a lot in the locker rooms. If your a social butterfly that’s perfect, I am not and for those that don’t do a lot of small talk will see it as a con but there are often older, most likely retired, folks on the saunas that don’t work out and just like to swim, then go into the sauna and socialize. Which isn’t horrible, but they often are talking about politics which gets annoying. If you don’t like to socialize in the sauna then head phones are a must. Over all, I think the racket club is AMAZING. I contribute alot of my success to having the perfect gym for me. I encourage any one to join.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Yuba Sutter Racquet Club and with how management handled my concerns. I currently pay approximately $180/month for our membership. My 10-year-old son is allowed to use the indoor pool only 2 days out of 7 — about 29% of the week — while a 14-year-old under the same membership pricing can use it 7 days out of 7. I asked management why the dues are the same when access is so different, but I do not feel this question was actually addressed. I was told the outdoor pool is an alternative. But what about winter, extreme heat, storms, poor air quality, or other severe weather? An outdoor pool is not an equivalent year-round alternative for a child who wants to swim regularly. I also raised concerns about the Family Room. It has two doors, and I was unable to secure both from inside in a way that made me comfortable with the privacy available to a parent and child. When I asked about showering, management told me that BOTH my son and I could shower outside in our bathing suits. What are we supposed to do during winter or bad weather? This question was not meaningfully addressed either. I also personally observed an individual using the sauna fully dressed and wearing outdoor footwear, then entering the indoor pool in the same clothing and footwear. On another occasion, I observed this individual enter the hot tub fully dressed. This raised concerns for me about hygiene and consistent enforcement of facility rules. I contacted management because I wanted answers and a reasonable solution — NOT to cancel my membership. Instead, I was told that if I was unhappy, my membership could be canceled. The subsequent written response referred me back to club policies and other children's offerings but, in my opinion, did not address the practical questions I raised. After this experience, I was left with the unfortunate impression that management is more concerned about collecting membership dues than addressing the concerns of the members who pay them. Before purchasing a family membership, especially if you have younger children, I strongly recommend asking exactly which facilities your child can use, on which days, what private shower/changing options are available, and what happens when weather makes the outdoor facilities impractical. I wanted to resolve these concerns and continue enjoying the club with my family. Unfortunately, I came away feeling unheard. I am sharing my experience so other families can ask these questions BEFORE joining and make an informed decision.

I have been coming to the racquet club for almost 2 years now and I have got to say: I have never felt such a sense of community like you have it at YCRC. I have 2 littles and the nursery is amazing. I never for a second, guess whether my kids are being taken care of. The staff are great!!! I have been a member at a few different gyms over the years and quite literally, nothing compares. The classes are so good. My favorites are Body Pump and Step with Holly and TRX with Ralphie. The sauna/steam room/cold plunge is a new favorite of mine and a definite must. I love how I never have to worry whether I’m gonna get a treadmill or not because there are so many!! Mike - the manager is so nice and keeps the gym running smoothly. You’ve got yourself a lifer here! As much as I would like to gatekeep how great this gym is, I 12/10 would recommend.

We love going to the Racquet Club! The gym is well kept and clean! The crew is always picking up after guests (who should have better manners and pick up after themselves) and wiping down equipment. The machines are maintained and up to date. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to other gyms and this is by far one of the best - and for sure the best in the YS area.
