It was my first time getting a massage here and the woman explained everything me and made me feel comfortable. I suffer a lot from chronic anxiety and I was extremely anxious going into this. Halfway through the massage, everything went away and I could enjoy it with my head empty, for the rest of the day I had no panic attacks and was able to sleep peacefully. It was a lovely experience and everyone who works there was extremely kind and made me feel comfortable.

We’ve been coming here for year, this was at least our sixth visit, and we consistently spend over $400 per visit. The massages are excellent, and every massage therapist we’ve worked with has been outstanding. This review is about a disappointing interaction with the owner. There is no locker room, only one restroom with a shower that costs an additional $8 per person. We always pay for it. After our services, one of us showers and the other joins shortly after so we can get dressed and leave efficiently. As we were checking out, Kim (the owner) told us that if we use the shower again, we must shower separately with a break in between because 30 minutes was “too long” and we couldn’t be in there “just hanging out.” That was not the case. I took a normal shower, washed my hair using the provided products, got dressed, and left—30 minutes is reasonable. There is also a second restroom accessible from outside, which I’ve used before. We are respectful, repeat customers who pay for the amenities offered. Being addressed this way felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. The massages are wonderful, but this experience with management gives us pause about returning.

We (my BAE and I) decided to go to Ojai for a date night and went to The Day Spa of Ojai. We were pleasantly surprised that it was a wonderful experience. The facility was clean and very comfortable. We were greeted warmly as we completed the standard massage questionnaire. Both therapist did something unique, which was brushing our skin first, which was an added touch. My therapist had good techniques and the pressure was just right!. We will definitely return and refer our friends 🙂

I'm a larger bodied woman of color, and felt really comfortable at this down to earth spa. The massage was genuinely one of the best I've had and exactly what I wanted. The facial was quite nice and the esthetician was lovely. The lobby is not the fanciest, and the chairs could be updated as they really swallow you, but I will for sure return to this spa on future trips.
