Genuinely an amazing gym! workers are super kind and helpful with whatever you need. The manager is incredibly friendly and always goes out of his way to make people feel comfortable and welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about the members and their experience, which really makes a big difference. He’s very understanding and willing to help when someone is going through a tough time, which shows how kind and thoughtful he is. It’s rare to come across someone so supportive, and it really creates a positive environment where people feel valued and appreciated. I love love love all of the machines and all the different options there is, everything is very well maintained as well! i’m so glad i chose manteca in shape! Definitely recommend.

If you needed visual proof of how poorly managed the free weight area is at In-Shape, this is it. This rack is a complete mess. Dumbbells are scattered with no logical order mixed in randomly and heavier weights just thrown wherever they fit. There’s zero labeling on the rack itself, so even if you wanted to put things back correctly, you’re left guessing. It’s not just inconvenient, it slows down your entire workout while you hunt for matching pairs. And then there’s the condition of the equipment. One of the dumbbells is literally falling apart, with the end cap completely destroyed. That’s not just wear and tear, that’s neglect. Equipment like this shouldn’t be on the floor, period. This isn’t about gym members being careless. The setup itself sets everyone up to fail. No structure, no maintenance, no accountability. Combine that with how crowded it gets in the evenings and how limited the equipment already is, and it just becomes a frustrating experience all around. For a paid gym, this is unacceptable.

This facility gives "more than just a gym" vibes. They don't just promote exercise but also well-being by offering a hot tub, steam sauna, and massage chair. I can put together a semi-spa day and come to relax and recover from a vigorous exercise day or week. I especially enjoy the staff who are very friendly and personable. Stephanie G. stands out because she has such a wonderful attitude and is always encouraging me and other members on our health journeys.

honestly i was kind of dreading going back to the gym but this place made it way easier than i thought. the equipment is all new and clean, no waiting like at my old spot. the staff at the front desk were super nice and actually remembered my name after the second visit. i just love how the classes are scheduled so i can actually fit them in after work without rushing. the weights room is a bit loud sometimes but it isnt that big of a deal. yeah ill definitely keep my membership, its worth it.

This place used to be the only game in town. Pristine clean racquetball all kinds of fun stuff. But in the last couple of years it's really give downhill. When a machine is down it's anybody's guess when it's going to get fixed. There's been black mold and men's locker room since I don't know how long. Some random customer rub the chunk a human feces on the wall in one of the showers and it stayed there for two weeks before it got cleaned. I complain multiple times and management just said oh We clean it several times a day. The swimsuit spin dryer is out of order apparently they don't clean it intend to fix it. Today I came in and I got a sign no more towels until further notice. Steam room is up for retailing. The indoor pool is closed for today. Looks like I'll be heading over to California fitness.
