This wasn’t our 1st choice, but we’d eaten at a different location before so we decided to give this one a try. Came in about 3:45pm on a Wednesday and there were 4 tables of families and a few at the bar. There was a sign at the counter to wait to be seated. The waitress yelled across the restaurant at us to sit where ever we wanted. Scanning the restaurant for a clean table and found one towards the back. There were many dirty tables. It took her about 5 minutes to get us a menu but got our drinks(Pepsi products) to us fairly quickly. Took her awhile to take our order and took at least 30 minutes for our food. Looked like she was the only waitress and she was struggling. The kitchen staff struggled to get our garlic fries and pesto chicken pizza out in a reasonable time for a very slow restaurant. We were kinda in a hurry but thought we’d have plenty of time based on how busy the restaurant looked. We even asked for the check early so we could get outa there sooner but she took a long time for that too. The garlic fries were really good. The fries had a light seasoning with plenty of salt. There wasn’t much garlic on it but I had garlic breath when finished. I’d recommend getting these. The pesto chicken bacon pizza was really good too. It was a little oily from the pesto but tasty. The pizza crust was also really good. I’d recommend the pizza. Their ranch dressing is excellent. Overall, the food was really good but the waitress and food were very slow and the tables were dirty. Expect to be here awhile and receive mediocre service.

I ordered a western style smash burger. There was nothing smashed about those patties. Not crispy or anything like advertised. And there was one single onion ring the size of a potatoe chip in there. Can say it was the worst smash burger and worst western burger I've ever had. My wife got the crispy chicken sandwich. Not crispy and just an overwhelming amount of hot honey glaze. Absolute mess. We were about to walk out because the server said they couldn't make burgers at the time. Then they said they would after we were about to leave. Can get a better bang for your buck elsewhere.

This establishment is a textbook example of predatory convenience, surviving purely because it holds a geographic monopoly over the Riverstone community. The food is shockingly mediocre, completely unmemorable, and a blatant rip-off for the prices charged. The service is a disaster. The floor staff is utterly directionless, agonizingly slow, and visually projecting that they do not care to be there—a direct reflection of non-existent management training. The bar is the only part of the business not completely collapsing, but pouring a beer requires zero effort. Management is blatantly coasting on a lack of competition and exploiting local families who have no other options. This place is an embarrassment to the growing Riverstone area and does not deserve a dime of your business.

Great atmosphere, several TV stations with different games on music. Food was good and got it in timely manner. Poor waitress was bussing and running food and manning bar by herself during lunch hour. Not busy but alot for one person. Probably will be better with organizing staff better to help one another. GM was on site and making sure nobody was left waiting too long. Overall I would return. Loved the beer selection and it was easy to operate on my own. We were checked on periodically by our server, which I appreciated.

I love Blast and Brew in Clovis and occasionally in Madera. I have to say and I hope this critique helps this restaurant. I have probably eaten at more a few hundred or perhaps thousands of restaurants in my adult lifetime. And in my lifetime I have probably walked out of maybe 5 restaurants because of dismissive/ poor service and the Blast and Brew in Madera was 4 of those times. Once because the music was too loud, twice because I sat at a table for a long period of time before being offered service and once because I stood near the front for more than 5 minutes before a service, but that time they were not busy and two servers were chit chatting ignoring me and my wife. There have been times when we did receive great service but this restaurant has the highest occurrence poor service I have seen. I would like to add to my review noting poor service and atmosphere. I have given the restaurant another opportunity in fact two new opportunities and I have to say the last two times eating there have been fantastic. If fact the service was great and I felt I had to complement the young server " Jessica" on her kindness and attentiveness.
