I had a great experience with this driving instructor. He primarily communicated with me in Chinese, which made me feel more comfortable. The instructor was very attentive and pointed out the key areas I needed to improve and focus on for the driving test. He lent me his car for the test, accompanied me to the DMV, and gave me some last-minute tips on what to watch out for during the exam. I'm happy to say that I passed my test on the first try and am very pleased with the result. The fee to borrow his car for the test was $250, and each two-hour driving lesson was $150. Since I had previous driving experience in my home country, I had to adjust to some differences in road rules and driving customs in the U.S. The instructor helped me correct my old habits, which was extremely helpful.

I had three 2-hour training sessions with Coach Liao and got my behind-wheel test passed in my first try in the Santa Clara DMV. I am not sure whether this would be all possible without Liao’s superior expertise and experiences. What he taught me not only benefits the test itself but helps me to obtain necessary skills and confidence in real driving scenarios. I recommended him to my friends who need a driving coach and would like to give my recommendations here too.

Coach Liao is very nice, patient and humorous. I was very nervous when I was just practicing the car, and I was holding the steering wheel tightly with both hands. I couldn’t drive at all. Coach Liao was then trying to chat with me to make me relax, and slowly I could drive the car steadily. When encountering uncommon road signs and signal lights, Coach Liao will emphasize it, which will benefit a lot and will be especially helpful for future driving. Thank you, Coach Liao!

Coach Liao is one of the instructor. My mother in law took 4 lessons with him and passed on first try. I would recommended him to anyone.

Instructor Liao was very patient and helped get my understanding through without making all the steps complicated. My mandarin is not the best but he understood what I said and explained in english sometimes to help make it easier for me. Besides being a friendly teacher, Mr. Liao taught what I needed and I ended up passing on my first try.
