Kiya Sushi - A Hidden Gem for Fresh Sushi in Fremont My best friend introduced me to Kiya Sushi on August 11th at 6 p.m., and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not crowded. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a small strip mall, and while the exterior may look unassuming, the food more than makes up for it. Inside, the space is cozy, clean, and designed for efficient seating. The staff offer complimentary edamame while you wait and end your meal with a scoop of high-quality vanilla or matcha ice cream, which adds a thoughtful touch. Must-Try Dishes at Kiya Sushi Dream Box #2 ($48.95) - 4.8/5 A beautifully presented chef's choice selection of 16 pieces of special fish served in nine mini bowls, including one mini ikura don. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the addition of two fried shrimp heads was a nice surprise. The real wasabi elevated the overall flavor experience. My only recommendation would be for the server to describe each fish and suggest an order of tasting to enhance the dining experience. California Crunch Roll ($12.95) - 4.7/5 A flavorful twist on the classic California roll with shrimp tempura, crab, avocado, and cucumber, topped with tempura crunch and unagi sauce. Each bite offered a perfect mix of texture and flavor, and the portion size was generous for the price. Lion King Roll ($13.95) - 4.7/5 Crab and avocado topped with baked salmon, tobiko, and sauce. Served warm and satisfying, this roll is hearty, flavorful, and ideal for anyone who loves baked sushi rolls. Final Thoughts Kiya Sushi may look like a hole-in-the-wall from the outside, but it is one of the best sushi restaurants in Fremont for those seeking quality and value. The fish is fresh, the service is kind, and the dining atmosphere is calm and inviting. Whether you stop by for a casual lunch or an intimate dinner, Kiya Sushi delivers a delicious and authentic Japanese dining experience every time. This spot has quickly become my go-to sushi restaurant in Fremont.

Great sushi, always good quality. Wait can be a long time, because of lunch rush. The deal for the lunch special is also great for your wallet. I’ve had lion king, hotel California, Sakura roll, dragon roll, and 49er roll, all great options. I come here whenever I can, great sushi for a good price

This sushi restaurant its so good! The deluxe uni handball is SUPER tasty. I could have eaten 50 of them. We ordered soft shell crab, which was a smaller crab than I am typically used to at ither places, but it still tasted good and had a nice crunchy texture. The mix tempura was probably the best tempura I've had ever. The texture was light and crispy and not soggy at all (which is very easy for it to get). Then we ordered chicken udon for our 3 year old, who lodged the noodles and broth. We ordered the Deluxe sashimi as our main dish and it was absolutely delicious! I loved the ice underneath the radish to keep the sashimi cold (my daughter loved it too and kept eating it). They gave us edaname beans and green tea ice cream complementary which was nice before abd after the meal. I highly recommend!

I’ve been here many times, but realized I never left a review. I didn't want to make that mistake again! Kiya’s sushi is consistently delicious. Here’s what we had: Fried Oysters: These were okay, but a bit heavily breaded and dry for my taste. The oysters themselves and the sauce were good, but I’d personally stick with their Takoyaki instead. Mango Crunch: A crowd favorite for a reason! The fresh mango was the perfect refreshing bite during this heat wave. Sakura Roll: Very filling and the eel was excellent. Dragon Roll: Another classic. The combo of eel, unagi sauce, avocado, and shrimp tempura is spot on. Green Tea Ice Cream: A sweet treat on the house to end the meal! Despite the heat wave making it a very busy day, the service was as wonderful as ever. They are always responsive and sweet. I'll definitely be back!

We been to Kiya Sushi multiple times already and it never disappoints. The highlights are the dragon rolls and chicken karage. It even provides free ice cream at the end of the meal. Super recommend it!
