As a huge fan of Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine, I walked into this restaurant with high expectations- but unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. To begin with, cleanliness was an issue. After washing hands (which is essential since the food is eaten with fingers), there were no hand towels or tissues available. Even after another customer pointed this out to the staff, nothing was done - even 20 minutes later. The food itself was equally disappointing. Everything was excessively salty, and the beef dish in particular was among the worst I’ve had. For dessert, I tried the baklava, but it tasted stale, as if it had been sitting out for far too long. At around $30 per person, this experience was absolutely not worth the price. If this is your first time trying Ethiopian food, I strongly recommend going elsewhere - this place does not do justice to what is otherwise a rich and flavorful cuisine.

When I first been here during the pandemic, the food was very lacking of flavor but with my recent return, they definitely improved. The owner is a great guy who you can chat with and have a great time. This mom and pop restaurant provides a great introduction to Ethiopian cuisine and I highly encourage you to try this place out if you’re willing to be more adventurous with your meals.

I got the vegetarian platter from Haleluya a month ago but it's been on my mind to go back daily. So good and so filling. Solomon was really kind and entertained my questions as he was putting the platter together. I recommend coming with friends so you can order more than just the platter (the mushroom tibs are delicioussss). Solomon was also very generous! The platter lasted me 2 pretty filling meals. He also proudly mentioned that the restaurant was named after his wife which was sweet!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I certainly would! I Came in this Sunday afternoon with my daughter, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious, a hidden little gem in Fremont, I highly recommend the lamb stew!

Small restaurant but food was surprisingly very good and the lady running the place was very nice. Got the 2 meat and 1 veg combo, with beef and chicken. The curries were less spiced than some I've had before, but I actually really liked the flavor. A must-order item is lentil sambusa appetizer - piping hot, perfectly fried so it wasn't greasy at all, and perfectly seasoned. Never had lentil inside sambusa before, but it was better than some meat sambusas. Bathroom was also rather clean. Would highly recommend this place even if you've never had Ethiopian food before. It was the first time for my mom and she liked it too.
