Amazing food and friendly service lots of tables and chairs for large families the chairs have leather cushions and the excellent quality of the food was affordable the chicken Katsu and the Walton sushi roll are delicious and highly recommended salads are also available and complement the food well or as stand alone items the atmosphere was calm and cozy and has outdoor seating

Umai was a pleasant surprise! Fairly busy on even a Monday night, they offer an expansive menu for both sushi and non-sushi fans. The lamb lollipops were tender and without gaminess. The oysters had a great accompanying citrus for a bright clean flavor. The standout was of course the very fresh fish that melts in your mouth! Great place for a special celebration! Don't forget the pickled wasabi, it improves every dish!

Came to Umar Bar & Grill with a group of six for sushi, and we had a really enjoyable time. We ordered a wide variety of sushi rolls, and it was fun sharing different flavors across the table. The rolls were beautifully presented, fresh, and creative, with generous portions. We also enjoyed hot sake, which paired perfectly with the sushi and added to the relaxed, lively atmosphere. It’s a great spot for groups looking to unwind, eat well, and enjoy good conversation. Service was friendly and the food came out steadily, though a few dishes took a bit longer than expected, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, a solid choice for sushi with friends, and I’d definitely come back again. 🍣🍶

Jared is the best bar tender ever. The food is fresh and plentiful. I couldn't believe the selection. A little jem in the rural elk grove.

Nigiri sampler was good, Lobster tempura crunchy outside, juicy inside. The katsu curry was ok. Good service.
