I don't know if this location is actively trying to get people to not come here, but that's the outcome they are going to get. Saturday morning, completely understaffed, only the slowest and rudest guy open on a single register. Over 20 people in line and it's not moving. If I was waiting in line at Disney the wait time would be understandable. Would absolutely not recommend coming here if you have anywhere else to be. They clearly don't care about the customer experience in the store.

Workers are extremely helpful. I was having problems trying to find some things throughout the store. They walked me through to try and find it for me would say the prices are fair and they usually have what you need. Overall I say this is a place worth coming to

Shop at the Canyon Del Rey Safeway. I shop there once or twice a week. I like their bran muffins. 50% of the time I go in the AM or early afternoon they are out of the bran muffins. I drive 10 to 15 minutes to get there as it's the closet Safeway. I've been buying the muffins for at least 6 years, and it's always hit of miss on their availability. Almost always have to have a price adjusted when I check out at this Safeway as it's different than the "For You" price, shelf price or advertised price. Today, no muffins, (2nd time this week) charged $3 more for blackberries, sign said $3.99 paid $6.99. Usually check but was in a hurry today. I'd go to the other Safeway's, but they are another 10 to15 minutes more of a drive.

I recently moved to this neighborhood and usually shop at this Safeway in the evenings. The staff are very friendly and helpful overall. The deli section is quite slow and not clean, in the produce section it’s often hard to find someone available to help customers. The store has a huge variety of products, which is great, but sometimes it makes it difficult to find what I need. I often ask Saeed for help — I hope I’m spelling his name correctly. Even though it’s not his main department, he frequently helps me and always knows exactly where everything is. He guides customers quickly and kindly, which I really appreciate. In the end, thank you to everyone working there!

Mostly good groceries but I did select a half dozen prepackaged scones that I took to the beach to eat and when opened I found that they were all moldy. Sort of inexcusable for a grocery store, but the Starbucks was good.
