Disappointed with our stay given the price point. The room felt like a cruise ship cabin — small, with a loud hallway and uncomfortable beds. Cleanliness also fell short of what we expected for a resort at this rate, and overall the value didn't match the cost. The pool area reinforced this — only two servers covering the entire pool, with trash left sitting around during our visit. Small touches elsewhere echoed the same pattern: the on-site ice cream shop charges $10 per scoop with no samples offered, so there was no way to know what you were getting before paying full price. Even at the general store, buying something as simple as a Shirley Temple or a box of animal crackers, we were prompted for an 18-22% tip. Altogether it left the impression that guest experience and upkeep weren't a priority. We also reached out to the front desk about our room concerns and requested an early checkout. We were initially told our reservation was a "3rd party booking" and couldn't be modified — which we later confirmed was inaccurate when we pushed back. Ultimately we were told early departure would still be charged at full rate, so no real resolution was offered. To be fair, the fire pit on our patio was genuinely lovely — but one nice feature doesn't compensate for the room quality, upkeep, and service issues overall. Hotel del Coronado has a great reputation and beautiful grounds, but our specific room experience and the customer service response didn't reflect that. We would not come here again, and would caution anyone who prioritizes good service to think twice about this hotel.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel del Coronado! The location is unbeatable, you’re just steps away from the beautiful beach, and waking up so close to the water made the experience truly unforgettable. The ocean views and relaxing atmosphere are simply amazing. The valet service was outstanding as well. Everyone was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful, making arrival and departure completely stress-free. From the stunning beachfront setting to the exceptional service, everything exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend Hotel del Coronado to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

I’ve stayed at Waldorfs, Ritzes, and a bevy of luxury hotels internationally, and “The Del” is now quite easily my favorite. It is perfect. There is a wide range of food options - prime steakhouse to a taco shack. It is gorgeous and the staff is so kind and helpful. I don’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back.

Everything about this hotel is top notch. Honestly mind blowing. My arrival to valet was way beyond my expectations. They were just so genuine and so sweet arriving and went out of their way like nobody ever does. All of this staff was absolutely awesome. I didn't meet a single person that didn't love being there working. The place is kept so immaculate and it's just beautiful. I would stay here for weeks if I could.

Pros: great location, beach is very nice. Lawn area seems very nice but our baby is too young to really enjoy. Bunch of kids playing at dinner time which is nice if your kids are older. They allowed us to check in early with baby so appreciate that. Good gelato place. Baby enjoyed morning strolls through the grounds but mainly the beach she liked. Mid: rooms were clean and not bad, just a little small when we had a crib so not much space to move around. AC worked great. Cons: this is a 4 star hotel but it's really not. You are paying for the esthetics of the hotel, which certainly give that old money flair, but do not get the stay/service of a top hotel. However, not what we would expect for the amount we paid. I've been to holiday inns where if we forgot toothpaste they give complimentary ones. Not here, have to purchase from shop. Also, maybe it's me since I'm not always in fancy hotels but if 4 star I expect to not get 1 ply toilet paper. The pool is terrible, packed and not the feel of a resort. They also said it was heated but didnt feel like it. I'd avoid the taco shack unless you want to pay $15 for 1 decent taco, nothing special. Good luck getting through to concierge on the phone. Tried ordering room service which did not work out well since I had to be transferred 2 times to get through to the restaurant, which they didnt pick up my call. Breakfast is expensive with no option for a la carte ($52 for the buffet per person, basically a continental breakfast, nothing special, and if you want something like an omelet, separate cost to the buffet). Coffee shop can take a long time in the morning. No opinion: stayed 2 nights so we didnt get our room serviced, but workers gave my wife new towels in the hallway when she asked. Didn't leave the hotel grounds so no opinion on surroundings.
