After moving to Chico recently and not knowing anyone, I started trying new hobbies. I’d always had friends who did aerial arts like silks and lyra, so I decided to give it a try myself. I’m very glad I did, and I wouldn’t choose anywhere but Freebird Yoga Studio to do it. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone in class welcomed me, and that same warmth has continued every time I’ve come back. Both the instructors and the students are encouraging, always pushing you just a little further each session. While I may still not be able to get upright once I’m upside down, I’m incredibly grateful to Freebird and everyone there for putting up with my shenanigans and self-deprecating humor. I truly can’t recommend this place enough.

Stopped in for a Flow Yoga class and really enjoyed it! If I lived here, I'd become a member. The class was fun, the instructor was knowledgeable, and overall great vibes.

This is the most welcoming, inclusive, and down to earth yoga studio. The instructors really care about each individual and you can feel it. Chelsea especially just has something about her. My first class with her, restorative yoga, she was saying such comforting things and guiding the class so intuitively that I just laid there and cried (in the best way). This yoga studio encourages you to just be yourself, to leave any masks you might wear at the door. Those yin yoga classes feel so potent in the healing department as well. Hurts so good! And the instructors are always ready to give modifications and help people to more comfortable variations of poses if need be. I thank God for this yoga studio and community, fo real!

Beautiful space to “Freebird Yoga” The vibe is incredible welcoming and so helpful and inspiring!! Chelsea and Alisa and guest yoga instructors Angela Alex Cherry and others have helped in more ways than they will ever know! I love how beautifully Chelsea is in her teachings and charismatic funny delivery while being in the moment and presenting knowledge in my quest to find calm and presence. My journey to find purpose for my presence has been found at Freebird Yoga! My transformation takes place whenever almost daily when I’m on my mat and at Freebird Yoga! Alisa is so welcoming and vibrant and beautiful. Alex is amazing and beautiful. Angela is incredible vivacious energy induced beautiful and funny! Cherry is so upbeat and beautiful! Thank you everyone at Freebird! All of you are beautiful!! I’m a Freebird! Everyday is a beautiful day!
