Been coming here for a while, not anymore. Found a full bread bag plastic tag in my smashburger! Lucky I didn't eat or choke on it.The server was gracious, comp'd my burger and had the chef make a new one (the chef said 'oh shit' when he saw the bread tag). But even when I tried the second burger later that night it tasted off and made me nauseous. I shouldn't have even tried the second. I usually get just drinks here, but I got no taste of rye in my signature cocktail the Inkwell Spill. And then to end the night they accidentally charged me for the comp'd burger until I caught it. I appreciate the servers-- they tried. But this was rough.

The food and drinks are very good and reasonably priced. The service was also very good. Unfortunately, we went for a pre season formal game and they couldn't get it, although they really tried. The music was not my favorite but to each his own. The crowd was also friendly. Parking is tough though but I will definitely return and do recommend them.

We live just a stone’s throw from this fantastic spot. We had been here when it first opened and came back again today—compliments to the team, they just keep getting better. The food is excellent, beautifully presented, and delicious. Great drinks too, with an impressive selection of wines and draft beers (including some excellent Italian wines). We ordered several beers and Old Fashioneds—everything was fantastic and well-executed. The food came out quickly with no long waits. The smash burger was delicious, and the skirt steak could rival any steakhouse. Even the vegetarian Smau burger was tasty. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Monday karaoke night adds a super fun vibe. Highly recommended!

This place was a disappointment. Pasta was flavorless and oily and the side of steak we asked for looked like it was left overs. My steak and frites were okay, the steak had no seasoning bland in flavor and fries soaked all the chimichurri making them super greasy. Bill was $90. Would not eat here again.

I arranged a large (16 person) group dinner at Inkwell Tavern. It was a mixed experience due to the size of the group, but I would 100% recommend it to smaller groups and couples. Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. Pros: The food is hearty and delicious, the staff is kind and patient, and their trivia nights are fun! Cons: They have a *very* small kitchen, and you put in your orders (drinks and food) at the bar. Because of this, we had a few issues: -Food came out slowly... one person didn't get their meal for 30-45 min. Their kitchen team worked hard, but it couldn't be helped. -Because of how you order, they didn't always know who got which item, and multiple items were given to the wrong person (and given our group size, we weren't sure if it was ordered to share), we had to re-order a few things that individuals didn't receive (but were eaten by collegues down the table). Had I known about the kitchen size and how food is ordered, I likely wouldn't have booked it for my group (a few people were frustrated). As a non-local I didn't know what I didn't know, but again, I would *strongly* recommend it for smaller groups and couples!
