We waited for a few minutes to be seated but everyone who busily passed us was friendly. It was hot outside, so we sat in the AC, but the outdoor patio is cute. Our server was helpful with recommendations and we both enjoyed our plates. Servings are huge - more than we could eat, and delicious! Highly recommend the guacamole and queso. The Cadillac margarita had a lovely presentation and quenched our thirst. We ordered the ribeye steak, shrimp & 🦞 fajitas. They came out on a double-decker serving plate and skittle. Amazing presentation - steaming hot and deliciously made. We also had the chicken enchilada special with steak and shrimp sides. Our tummies were very happy! The meal was fantastic and the vibe is festive. We had a great time and invite you to do the same.

My husband and I truly love coming to El Agave! We look forward to going every week and truly appreciate Jaime and his family, Julio (makes the best margaritas) and staff. Some of our favorites are the shrimp, steak and lobster fajitas, shredded beef tacos, chicken enchiladas with green sauce and a massive shredded chicken fajita burrito. The margaritas and micheladas are to die for as are the chips and salsa. This restaurant is run by the best family and we are so blessed to have such a great place in Auburn.

As a wedding planner, I truly appreciate working with caterers who deliver both quality and presentation, and El Agave Mexican & Mayaa’s Restaurant did exactly that at a recent wedding at River Highlands Ranch. The food was absolutely amazing, the display was beautiful, and their staff was incredibly friendly and easy to work with throughout the event. Everything felt seamless and well cared for. I would highly recommend couples consider them for their wedding. My opinion: This one

If you want GREAT Mexican food in Auburn, El Agave is the spot! I hired them to cater my birthday party with an incredible taco bar — and everyone is still talking about it! 🌮🎉 When I’m dining in, my go-to is their sizzling fajitas and a big, top-shelf Clase Azul margarita… happiness in a glass. 🍹✨ Juan is my favorite waiter — he always takes such great care of us — and Angela is amazing at helping with catering. It’s a family-run place with a lot of heart, and you feel that every time you walk in. They even support our Rotary Club events, which makes me love them even more. 💙 Delicious food, wonderful people, and always a good time. Highly recommend!

This is our "go to" spot for dinner. We always get a huge warm welcome when we walk in the door and a "See you tomorrow!" goodbye. The owners and staff are the warmest people ever and that's a huge reason we keep going back. But the other reason is that the food and drinks are top notch. We've loved everthing we've ever ordered. My husband usually gets the Original Crispy Tacos and lately I've been getting fajitas which is enough for two meals so I always have leftovers for lunch the next day. We also get the Queso Dip with their homemade chips which is a great start with a frosty margarita. You can't go wrong here. Even their flan is fabulous!
