To Whom It May Concern, My name is Lamon Harrell, and I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the treatment I received at the Apple Valley, California location of 24 Hour Fitness during a recent visit from Northern California. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Sales Representative Angel, whose demeanor and attitude were unwelcoming and negative from our very first interaction. I explained that I was visiting the area and only wished to use the basketball court for the day. Angel informed me that my guest pass would not work because I lived out of town. Seeking clarification, I requested to speak with the General Manager, Elijah. Unfortunately, I was forced to wait for over an hour before he became available. Although Elijah was courteous and professional when we finally spoke, I was informed that I would still be required to pay a $25 guest fee because guest passes could not be used for basketball access. My primary concern is not the fee itself, but rather the lack of professionalism, the negative customer service experience, and the excessive wait time to speak with management. Customers and visitors should be treated with courtesy, respect, and timely assistance. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that steps be taken to ensure staff members provide a more welcoming and professional experience for members and guests in the future. As a new member I notice the machines are not cleaned. The showers are dirty. The one thing that just totally ticked me off. Today a Young kid in the gym went swimming in the pool with their outside clothes on .. come on. Trying not to sound like a Karen. Where is the manager why aren’t the employees seeing this? Part of me wishes that I never joined. 🤦‍♀️

This gym is absolutely filthy. Nothing is ever cleaned, despite members being charged a cleaning fee. There is broken equipment everywhere, no maintenance, and dirt and grime throughout the facility. The conditions are unacceptable and honestly unsafe. I feel the health department should get involved because this place is nowhere near sanitary. Members deserve refunds for the cleaning fees since no actual cleaning appears to be happening. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been coming to 24 Hour Fitness for almost 20 years, and the customer service is one of the reasons I keep coming back. The staff always greets members with a smile, even when they’re busy helping others or restocking. A special shoutout to Angel for always making an effort to connect with members and create a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for making every visit a great experience!

... its honestly been great having this place to go to, it’s never as packed as youd expect even on weeknights so I can usually get in and out in under an hour which is huge for my schedule. the equipment is mostly newer and well maintained, but some of the cable machines need adjustment like they do not engage properly at the start of the pull, just a little frustrating when youre rushing. the staff are friendly, dont hover or try to sell you stuff, they just let you do your thing. i will say though the air conditioning seems way too aggressive in one corner of the weight room, like you need a jacket just to stand near the dumbbells which makes no sense when youre trying to work out. other than that i have no real complaints, clean locker rooms and the water fountains actually work so it feels like a solid everyday gym. this actually made my day easier to stick with my workout routine.
