I can’t say enough good things about this hospital and especially Dr. Reza. My dog Yuki was recently spayed here, and as a pet parent, I was naturally very anxious. From the moment we walked in, the staff was kind, patient, and reassuring. They took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel completely comfortable with the process. Dr. Reza was absolutely amazing. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. You can truly tell he loves what he does and cares about the animals he treats. Yuki’s surgery went smoothly, and her recovery has been incredible — she’s doing so good! I’m beyond grateful for the care and attention they gave her. Thank you, Dr. Reza, for taking such great care of my baby. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for a compassionate and trustworthy veterinary team.

I had an appointment with Dr. Mina Sedra for my dog, who has been coughing incessantly. After two hours of waiting, Val presented me with a $1700 diagnostic list. I had instructed them to contact my original doctor to request the test results from my previous visit with the other doctor. Surprisingly, they did not receive the email, but when they did, they did not modify the $1700 diagnosis. I explained that my dog has been diagnosed with canal cough and that we require a stronger medication to alleviate the coughing. She then informed us that the $700 diagnosis is essential and that the results will be available on Monday. Today is Wednesday, and the results have finally been received By the facilityHowever, the doctor is not available. In summary, six days ago, I brought my dog in, swiped my card for $700, and received six cough drops. It is now six days later, and the cough persists. I have not received any results, diagnosis, or management advice. The doctor and the manager, DJ, are currently unavailable. Facilities like this that take advantage of people and pets should be regulated and perhaps Band From practicing.

It's been a year and half since Dr. Sedra helped me lay Coco to rest, and I still think about this clinic often. Coco was a perfectly healthy cat, but one day she suddenly started to have violent, concerning bouts of vomiting. Prior to Aliso Viejo, I went to another vet who didn’t seem to know what was going on; and frankly didn’t seem to care to find the root issue. After a couple of enemas and many unanswered questions, I decided to get a second opinion at Aliso Viejo. Dr. Sedra didn’t know what was going on either, but the difference was he cared. He was extremely concerned and jumped into overdrive to order tests and figure out what was going on. It was so refreshing to see after our previous vet offered nothing but temporary bandaids. Well that was the start of a months-long journey that involved Dr. Sedra, Dr. Foroud, and Dr. Brown, all of whom were amazing and did everything they could to save her. (I believe Dr. Reza may have been involved at one point but just so happened to be away). Long story short, Coco had probably a dozen visits, two overnight stays, and tried too many medications to count. There were blood tests, X-rays, and even a specialist who came to do a more intensive scan. The staff all got to know us well; they recognized my number when I called. Elizabeth and Danny were my favorites (please tell Elizabeth I say sorry about never getting back to her about her foster). The doctors were supportive of my decision to keep fighting for her. Some treatments would work for a week, some a month, and some not all. Despite everyone's amazing efforts, we never did find a definitive answer or permanent solution, but damn did we try. Eventually, they started to lightly bring up the possibility of euthanasia, but I couldn't bear to think about losing her. Fast forward to Coco’s last day. After giving her an exam, Dr. Sedra gave me a look and I just knew. I burst into tears and told him I couldn’t, and in so many words he told me it was her time. I want him to know how grateful I am for that. If I have any regrets, it’s not letting her be at peace sooner, and I needed that gentle push to let her go. I won't go into the details of her passing, but know Dr. Sedra couldn't have handled it with more grace or compassion. Unfortunately, what happened after left me with mixed feelings. I had her cremated and ordered two clay paw prints from the crematorium they partner with (or at least used to), Only Cremations for Pets. I know this isn’t their fault, but the paw prints were absolutely awful - they were sloppy, clearly rushed, and barely left an imprint. I have to keep them tucked away because I get upset when I look at them. Again, I know this isn’t their fault in the slightest, but I would advise other owners to look into different third-party options. The second thing I fully recognize as unreasonable, but I have to get it off my chest. When I came to visit Coco during one of her overnight visits, I noticed the staff passing around a condolences card for another pet who passed. After Coco died, I assumed I would get one too. Time went on, and each week it didn’t come made my heart feel heavier. Like I said, everyone got to know me and Coco so well - all her quirks and her tortitude. I would call and they would answer, “Oh no, is Coco alright?” So after all of the hours spent there and everything we went through, I would’ve really appreciated a note, especially to look back on during times like these when my grief is hitting especially hard. I know everyone there works extremely hard and it may have slipped through the cracks. And not receiving a card does not negate my immense gratitude or the amazing care they gave her, but I would be lying if I said it didn’t sting a bit, even now. I really want to end on a positive note, but I know I’ve already written a novel. I was just reflecting and wanted to reach out with my appreciation for how hard everyone worked to try to save my baby girl. Your work is so important and leaves a profound impact on people’s lives. Thank you.

I cannot recommend Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital and Dr. Reza highly enough. I have been bringing my three dogs—Pablo, Frankie, and Gus—here since 2017, and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Most recently, I brought my Pug, Gus, in to have some growths examined and removed for biopsy. I'm waiting for the pathology report and hoping it comes back normal. As any pet owner knows, these situations can be incredibly stressful, but Dr. Reza and the team did a phenomenal job. They provided Gus with the best care and treatment possible, and more importantly, they took the time to make sure I was comfortable and informed about the best possible outcome for both of us. What truly sets this hospital apart is the personal touch. The staff is always loving and friendly; they know me and my dogs by name every time we walk through the door. On top of the amazing bedside manner, the facility is top-notch, equipped with the latest technology and medical healthcare equipment. If you are looking for a vet that combines high-tech medical expertise with genuine, old-school compassion, Dr. Reza is the best in the business. When it comes to my dogs' health, I believe no expense is worth sparing. You truly get what you pay for, and the peace of mind that comes with their level of expertise is invaluable.

My beloved Maltipoo, Brownie, had been a patient at Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital since December 2019 under the care of Dr. Reza Moazzen. I was always very grateful for Dr. Reza’s compassion, expertise, diagnostic ability, and genuine care. Over the years, he treated Brownie through many serious medical issues and surgeries, and his recommendations always felt thoughtful, honest, and focused on Brownie’s actual medical needs. Before Dr. Reza’s departure, Brownie developed serious health issues. After reviewing Brownie’s symptoms and history, Dr. Reza suspected hepatic encephalopathy, ordered the appropriate testing, and the diagnosis was confirmed. Brownie was then started on treatment. Later, another internist also recognized the value of Dr. Reza’s timely diagnosis and treatment plan. Unfortunately, my recent experience after Dr. Reza was no longer there was very different. Around late June, I requested a refill for Brownie’s Metronidazole, which had previously been prescribed through the facility. This was the first time my refill request was denied, even though Brownie had a long history with the hospital and his records were there. When I asked where Dr. Reza was, I was told he was out of town. I later learned he was no longer working there. I wish I had been given clear information at the time so I could make the best decision for Brownie’s care. I remain very thankful for everything Dr. Reza did for Brownie. However, my recent experience with Aliso Viejo Animal Hospital after his departure was disappointing.
