My husband and I recently had our wedding reception here. It was one of our best experiences. We're a young couple starting out and Jeremy (Manager) helped us every step of the way. He responded well to emails, gave really useful suggestions, and was really accommodating. We didn't know where to find a DJ and Jeremy recommended one that was very professional and so easy to work with. Jeremy allowed us to visit several times to view the space and met with us on multiple occasions so he knew what we needed and gave us information that we needed to know. On the day of, our family mentioned during the set-up, time of the event, and clean up so many good things about the staff, noting how helpful and calm they were (helped calm me down because I was stressed), easy to approach, and even mentioning that they loved watching them dance and enjoy the evening with us. The Star really made this a beautiful reception in about a month and a half. Anything we needed, Jeremy tried to make it happen, even if it was outlandish. They allowed us to bring in outside vendors like Tuckers. Our guests enjoyed the food and drinks, and whatever was packaged away for me and my husband was enjoyed as well! Guests also mentioned how the atmosphere felt so welcoming and how much they felt good being in The Star's space. The Star has always held a special place in our hearts and probably always will because we've made so many memories there, even before the reception. Some people in our family are already trying to think of another event to have there because everything was just that good. Thank you!

If we ever move to Alameda, The Star on Park would be my favorite pizza restaurant! We were looking at homes and while walking around, came across the charming Star on Park, that used to be a bank! Our waitress was lovely and everything we ate was delicious!

The personal deep dish pizza lunch special is probably the best deal on the island. The catch is that they take some time to cook but it's well worth the wait.

Seriously some of the best pizza I've had in quite a long time! All made fresh to order and I really wanted to try the Detroit style pizza but the family wasn't feeling adventurous but we did have the Detroit style cheesy bread which was phenomenal! Our favorites were the chicken pesto and the carbonara! But seriously, everything was good!

Delicious pizza with crust made to perfection! Beautiful decorum, prompt and friendly service (thanks Lewis for taking such good care of us!) This was our first time here, but I'm sure we'll be back again!👌
