SRVHS Homecoming Parade Takes Over Downtown Danville Friday

Downtown Danville will be filled with school spirit this Friday as San Ramon Valley High School holds its annual Homecoming Parade on September 25.

The event is scheduled for 2:30 to 3:30 PM, with the parade expected to begin moving through downtown at around 2:50 PM. Students, class floats, athletes, performers, and other members of the SRVHS community will take part.

Where the parade will go

The parade will begin at San Ramon Valley High School, 501 Danville Boulevard, before heading through downtown Danville.

The route will travel along Danville Boulevard, Hartz Avenue, West Prospect Avenue, and Railroad Avenue before returning toward the school.

Expect temporary street closures

Drivers should be prepared for short delays during the event.

Danville will use rolling street closures as the parade moves through downtown rather than closing the full route for the entire afternoon. Streets are expected to reopen after participants pass, with normal traffic returning by around 3:30 PM.

Anyone driving through downtown during that time may want to allow a little extra travel time.

A Community Homecoming Tradition

The parade gives the wider Danville community a chance to celebrate alongside SRVHS students before the school’s Homecoming festivities.

Spectators can expect to see class floats, school groups, performing arts students, athletes, and plenty of Wolf Pack spirit making their way through downtown.

For families and residents looking for something local to do Friday afternoon, the parade offers an easy way to join in and support the students.
