Danville’s October Arts Calendar Brings Exhibitions, Theater and Halloween Events

Danville’s fall calendar is filling up with arts and culture events in October, including a gallery opening, a family-friendly performance and a Halloween-themed improv night at the Village Theatre.

The Town’s current Fall Into Danville guide highlights several arts and theatre events scheduled for the month. On October 17, the Village Theatre is set to host a preschool performance by magician Brian Scott, followed later that day by the opening reception for “Art in the Dark” at the Art Gallery at the Village Theatre.

The month closes with Halloween Improv Night at the Village Theatre on October 30. Together, the events give residents a mix of family programming, visual art and live performance without needing to leave Danville.

The Town has been using its Fall Into Danville guide to collect seasonal events and activities in one place, making it easier for residents to see what is coming up across recreation, arts, community programming and downtown activities.

For local families, the October calendar offers multiple ways to make an outing around downtown Danville. The Village Theatre and gallery sit close to shops and restaurants, so the scheduled performances and exhibitions can easily be combined with other downtown plans.

Residents interested in attending should check the Town’s official event calendar before going, since event details, registration requirements or ticket availability may change.
