Agoura Hills Halloween Decorating Contest Has an October 19 Entry Deadline

Agoura Hills residents planning a Halloween display can enter the city’s Haunt Your Home contest through Monday, October 19, at 11:59 p.m., according to its recreation registration listing.

Judging is scheduled for October 22 and 23. The contest recognizes ten categories, including Mayor’s Choice, People’s Choice, Most Family Friendly, Most Creative, Best Use of Technology and Best Graveyard Scene.

Entering also gives the city permission to photograph the display and include the home’s address on its contest map. The registration listing says the address will come from the participant’s profile, so entrants should check that their information is current before submitting.

The city is also recruiting community members aged 13 and older for its judging patrol. Its October 23 activity listing calls for participants to meet at the recreation center at 5:30 p.m., with judging from 6 to 9 p.m. Shuttle transportation and snacks are listed as included.

Contest entrants and prospective judges should use the organizer’s registration pages to confirm current fees and availability. The contest page does not show a fixed entry price, and judging spaces can change as registrations are received.
